Thank you for downloading 10_Q_Micro! (10_Q_Micro_03 at the time od writing.)

This lite version of 10_Q is kindly offered for free to anyone interested but especially to users of the licensed program who would like to be able to run 10_Q slide shows at various locations and events like conferences, workshops, meetings, etc., either by bringing a laptop with this software installed, or by quickly and easily installing the program on a computer at the venue before the presentation, if the first option is not possible or convenient.

Please read the notes below. They provide information on how to install and use the software.

1. Like the licensed program, 10_Q_Micro also requires a version of Adobe AIR runtime (Adobe AIR 30.0 or higher) for desktops to be installed on the particular computer. At the time of writing, Adobe AIR runtime is downloadable for free from https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime (and previously from get.adobe.com/air/). No password is needed to use the program

2. 10_Q_Micro starts in Presentation mode only; a Project folder name and a Project name need to be provided. The software allows you to run media rich 10_Q slide shows, open webpages with a click of a button, access additional content files, and do exercises from a ‘related’ 10_Q test as a comprehension check activity. You will not be able to create, edit, or save any e-Learning projects with this lite version but, if necessary, you could use a text editor to make small changes to a project’s ‘txt’ file when the full program is not available. With this in mind, related tests must be in readable (unencrypted) form.

3. The control and navigation techniques that you have acquired from your experience with the licensed program can be applied to the same effect in 10_Q_Micro, which means that you will feel perfectly comfortable with this lite version.

4. Having installed the software at a host institution, you may wish to ‘test-run’ your slide show before the respective event and make sure that media and content files open properly, control and navigation keys and buttons work, and the slides look OK on the provided screen or monitor.

Good luck with 10_Q_Micro!
