Becoming quickly a confident user – a mission possible
Any authoring software should ideally be user-friendly and not too demanding on developers. To a large extent 10_Q meets these criteria. Tips and instructions on most pages, the intuitive interface, as well as over a dozen detailed, topic-specific info sections will enable you to start making effective use of 10_Q quickly, and adopt a method of work that suits you best. 2 demo projects are included for you to experiment with and help you gain experience.
A number of automatic functions – converting plain text exercises to computerized quizzes, generating the answer key, creating ‘illustrated exercise view’ pages, encoding and decoding files, checking the answers, storing students’ test results, and ranking test takers according to their scores – save time and efforts. Preview windows quickly remind you of the contents of slides or exercises.
The possibility to provide answers to most questions with a single mouse click or a key press helps students, too, so they can focus on the task rather than on interaction techniques.
During a presentation, you easily highlight and zoom in on any screen object. Texts fields and pictures appear and disappear with a slight ‘fade in’ / ‘fade out’ effect between Unfold steps, and so do background images between frames for a more appealing display of textual and graphical content. A transition effect is automatically applied when you return to the respective page having completed an exercise and seen your results.
