10_Q basics
Some underlying principles which make ‘10_Q’ a unique authoring program are presented below.
‘10_Q’ tests and presentations are stored as and loaded from ‘.txt’ files. These user-editable text documents contain readable information (the content of exercises and text fields) but also a lot of numeric values, which define the parameters and specifications of your projects. One should not necessarily know what each of these numbers stands for unless they want to be able to change certain properties of a project by editing its ‘.txt’ file.
Any other data files necessary for your e-Learning test or slide show, such as ‘.pdf’ documents, images, audio and video clips, etc., are stored inside a Support folder. The program retrieves information from this folder when that is required or requested. The Support folder is a subfolder of the respective Project folder. They both have the same name and are created for you in the Program directory.
